Church Booth Information
The reason this is so strong on our hearts is because a lot of us were
invited to an event like this and it changed our lives.
The cost of a booth is five volunteers from your church, for two hours
of work time each. This is to help with parking and the kids zone.
Booths are a 20'x20' area that is randomly selected by the committee
Churches and vendors provide their own canopy, tables and chairs,
100' extension chord and power strip, a banner or sign, and brochures
and information about your church, ice and water for the booth volunteers.
No food or drink items are allowed to be given out at the booths.
We are thankful for the food vendors and want them to do well. Asking
for donations at the church booths is not allowed.
Examples of items that can be given away. Pencils, pens, candy,
brochures, gift bags, t shirts, balls, and frisbees.
One good strategy for helping the event minister after it is over is to
develop a mailing list with emails or phone numbers. An easy way to
do this is to have a prize to sign up for a give away. Then there will
be a list of people you can call and invite them to your church.
Examples of things done last year; OU gift basket. a movie basket, gas/Walmart cards, and a bicycle.
Another good idea is to have brochures or flyers with information about your
church location, ministries available, service times, and affiliation.
It works well if you promote the event in your church by putting up flyers,
having brochures available in your lobby, encourage your congregation
to attend and invite people to the event, especially the youth. School will just have
started and and they can bring school friends to the event, and then
invite them to church. The main goal of the event is to invite people that need
a church home.
We would like to help you promote the event at your church by providing
all the materials you need to promote the event. Members of our planning
committee will come and set up a table with information, explaining the event
and to sign up volunteers at your church.
Financial support drives this event. A $100 donation will get your church
logo on the back of the event shirts, and $500 also gets a spot on a live broadcast
with KXOJ from the event. We will be buying a package of commercials on KXOJ, KRMG
and may have ads in the Tulsa World Spot and other places depending on our budget.
We will keep you informed of other advertising we are doing.
